Towbar wiring route

Postby SaintEric » Wed May 18, 2016 10:39 pm

Hi all,

Just wondering if there was a pre cut hole for the towbar wiring to feed up through from underneath on a 2006 SWB Connect ?
If not, where is the best place to drill a hole ?

Cheers in advance,

Theres a grommet inside the rear wheel arch passenger side for towbar electrics to come in, it comes in just below where the jack is stored. First time i fitted one i removed the arch liner but after that i didnt bother, i can get my arm up between the liner and the chassis and feel where the grommet is.

Thought the jack came under the drivers seat?
I pushed the cable through with the loom that runs across the rear valence, comes up into the rear light cavity.
The indicator wire I fiddled through over the top of the doors.
I didn't use a bypass relay and it all works fine.
Mines an early 08 LWB but I'm sure they are all similar construction.

Ah, on my 03 the jack is in the back above and slightly back of the passenger rear wheel arch. In my 2012 its behind the drivers seat, thought the 2006 location was the same as the 2003. But on both my vans the grommet is in the same place.
