I recently bought a 2009 Connect 90 Trend from a private seller.
Vehicle runs beautifully except for the handbrake which did not work.
This turned out to be seized calipers which needed replacing ( the van stood unused for a year)
and so far has cost me over £500 in parts alone.
I now notice that it is difficult to engage reverse. Other gears work fine.
Is this also going to cost me a bundle, or may it just be a factor of the van standing for so long, and can
be remedied by a gearbox oil change and/or a bit of adjustment to the linkage ?
The mechanic is reluctant to interfere with the latter.
Please help !!
