My 2008 tdci sport van has decided it wants to play games, now it intermittently cuts outs, when this happens I've got no lights that come on the dash or even flash as it happens. I've got no stored codes on a mac tool engine scanner.
I've seem to narrow it down when it happens it can be when coming to a junctions and changing gears and the revs drop out and you try to pick it up with the throttle and it either doesn't respond or it will die, it also does it when I'm crawling along ie parking and when I put load on it say a steering input it just dies. I've had it also happen when I've pulled up and spoke to a work colleague and had the van in neutral and the handbrake on and it has cut out like you have flicked the ignition off.
It's was serviced 2 months ago with all filters etc and yes the fuel filter was genuine ford. I also run it on fuel station diesel not supermarket stuff. It runs as normal pulls hard for a sport van no excess smoke the oil level hasn't changed and fuel range hasn't changed either. The only other thing I've noticed i's when cold and around 1500 to 2000rpm I get a stall judder I expect this to be the egr as I've had this on other vehicles.
I'm a little stumped and don't really want to take it to ford for them to say no fault found when I say intermittent it can be from once a week to maybe 3 to 5 spats in a single journey I cant relate it to temperature it doesn't it what ever the fuel level is at.
Any ideas sorry for the long post
