P0622 Generator Field Terminal Circuit - ALTERNATOR
U1262 SCP (J1850) Communication Bus Fault

Injectors with excessive leak off require refurbishment (New internal parts etc) - Cleaning them will NOT solve the issue :!: :!:

As posted previously.....

Glow plug light flashing & engine going into limp mode. With following DTC's (error codes) stored.

P0251 Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control
P1211 Injector Control Pressure Higher/Lower Than Desired (engine running)

It will either be injector fault or fuel pump. Or in some cases both :!:
Injector leak off test will confirm if injectors are at fault. - If 1 or 2 are faulty, it's best to replace all 4

Check diesel filter for swarf - If present, fuel pump has worn out.
Replacement fuel pump & injectors are required.

Above is a common problem effecting 2003-2006 Transit Connect 90ps TDCI's

P2291 Injector Control Pressure Too Low - Engine Cranking - Possibly blocked fuel filter.
Most cases when engine fails/difficult to start - worn out fuel pump.

ok Paul thanks for reply,my van starts 1st thing every day hot or cold ,so hopefully my pump is ok ,i didnt see any signs of swarf in old filter ,do you think second hand injectors could be a winner , bit of a stupid question really as the ones i buy could be as bad as the ones already fitted ,just trying to fix it as cheaply as poss as the van does not warrant spending a lot on it

2003-2006 Connect TDCI 90ps Engine code HCPA.

Injectors from a Focus mk1 1.8 TDCI engine code F9DA will fit.

Although injectors will require programming to PCM

If the head is off a F9DA then the injectors are the same, If its F9DA it'll stamped on the head

look at the 5th pic here:

How do you know the injectors are 100% have they been tested?

Get codes read again if it's still a fuel pressure problem and the injectors are 100% ok then it's going to be pump

Yes injectors were tested so it's looking like pump then but filter been checked twice for swarf and it's spotless

the guy i bought them off is a retired diesel mechanic he worked for a large diesel company in my area and now hes retired he does a little bit from home ,has all the correct testing equipment ,the other 3 i got from him are perfect ,he just aint the kind of guy to shaft someone ,im just trying to get a bit of info incase i could have done anything wrong, before i go back to him ,he did stress to me cleanliness is very important, but when fitting there was a little bit of crap around the injector bores
