Mystery wires

Postby Benrbrb1996 » Wed Dec 07, 2016 7:06 pm

Evening all,

I've recently purchased and ex Royal Mail 07 transit connect and I'm currently insulating and ply lining the back. I've come across two wires that run into what looks like some sort of three pin connector, but it's not connected to anything itself. They are located just above the rear wheel arch halfway between the roof and the arch on the drivers side. The wires are orange and black. From looking at other forums they could be anything from ignition to rear plate lights but the plate lights work and so does the ignition (which can't possibly be that's far back I know.)

Any ideas??
Thank you

(Will try to attach a picture but our internets not great)

Not as far as I can see? Do you think it's aux in or out?

12 volt accessory outlet.
Normally Fuse 50 behind the glovebox, according to Haynes

Yeah accessory, wot he said.
There's a round hole in the back corner for the genuine socket but it will take a double USB socket as well.

Fuseways are 15Amp continuous rating so I doubt the cable would take more than twice that. If you know the cable size you could find out the maximum load for that cable
