Injector coding

Hi all I don't know much at all so looking for help I've a 04 Transit connect t220l TD 1.8 Swb that smokes on a cold start I've had a new turbo fitted as a precaution but still doing it so now think I will have the injectors replaced my question is do they need coding on this model thank you

Thanks on my log book it just says mine is TDI so I assume no coding is needed

I've just been told by a diesel specialist garage that any more than two need replacing them coding is required is this true or just trying to get extra cash thanks

As graham has said, if it's a TDCi, any new ones will need coding, which they don't on a TDDi.

If you have wires as well as pipes to the injectors, then it's a TDCi.
No wires, just pipes, means TDDi. On a TDDi, it's the pump that needs coding, if replaced. You've either misunderstood what the garage said, or they don't know what they're doing, and you need a better garage
