Just got one (DTUK) off egay £125 greedy c%$£ hid some damage in the photos and failed to mention, prolly some c%$£ off here!.... anyhow 2 mins to fit and does the trick... more smoke but it's like brown?... sort of a mixture of oil and fuel, though did it before as std (though not as bad... ) if you gas it a bit through the gears then stop and do it again the smoke isn't as bad, tootle round and gas it again, it bellows sheite out... 170k though and prolly been driven by some spotty retard delivering car parts... egr blanked etc... oiley round turbo and in cooler/pipes... this f%$£ing thing will be like triggers broom at the rate I going at...

Waste of money unless you buy a quality chip but they cost. Better to get a remap usually from around £150 or better still a custom one from Vantuner.

I wouldn't even say the dear ones were (these are 400 quid!), nothing more that a variable resistor if I could be ar$ed to open it and look, remapping no different, you can do it with a cheap kess box, programs that make it easy to raise the needed paramiters on the ecu, know all abart hexs and checksums :) ... I've done all the white man magic years ago, but never bullshited anyone I was an electronics genius... nor was I ever greedy either... it's all over priced ;)

Dropped the oil this aft... had slightly over filled it last time, used some old halfords fully synth 3w30 vauxhall stuff this time, doesn't seem as bad, just see a bit of black smoke nar...

Bought a focus airbox after reading a few things, just aswell really the std connect screws where already chopped and had seized up again, filter had seen better days too, wouldn't say it gave 5 more bhp but it don't seem as 'dirty' out of the back...
