Got a 2003 1.8 tddi done 145k only got it Tuesday night was driving it yesterday and the oil like started flashing check the oil there was a little bit on the dipstick so put some it till it was at the right level got it home and the dipstick had hardly any oil on but when I put the oil in.it started leaking round the rocker cover and from the sump but went out to it this morning and the oil saying full on the dipstick? Any one had this before. The oil was a little lumpy the when I pulled the dipstick out?

Fortunately I've never seen lumpy oil on a dip stick.

Also i think the oil warning light is a pressure switch so if it comes on it means the pressure is low not the level.

Next is the oil in the rocker, that suggests that the oil in the engine and possibly the engine is so bad that it is partially blocked, which would explain the pressure problem, I'd drain the oil and change the oil filter and is also remove the rocker cover to inspect the top of the engine, there are oil galleries that allow the oil to return back to the sump.

Also it may need the sump removed and the pick up strainer cleaning.

But you'll diagnose it add you go along, sounds blocked tho.

Depends if the exhaust or anything is under or in the way, i haven't really worked on the connect tbh there's other members who will better advise, they may even suggest some oil treatment but i prefer direct cleaning.
You also need to hope that the lack of pressure hasn't caused any damage.

No sump gasket, they are stuck on with a sealant.
