2009 TDCI oil from exhaust

Postby Soupy » Wed Apr 26, 2017 10:47 am

Hi,

My connect blew it's head gasket, oil getting in the water. This resulted in the turbo being starved of oil and destroying itself. I replaced the head gasket and turbo (second hand from the bay of E) and got her fired up. Now I'm getting thick grey/white smoke and oil from the exhaust.

Where do I start? New engine? Troublesome as all I can get are KKDAs and that would mean keeping the turbo (IIRC).

Any suggestions appreciated.

Is there any oil in the intercooler? If so you need to clean it out also the boost pipes and there may be some in the exhaust itself

Thanks for the reply, I have found the problem, there is a crack in the head!

Next question -

It's a R3PA engine code, will I need that exact head or will others fit?

Thanks.
