Yes I have read all the other threads
First, is this the right Smart Charge cable, looks the kiddy:

2nd, my fault is slightly different, On cold start only with a volt meter on the lighter socket.
The light goes out, meter reading around 12v
Then comes back on, meter still reading 12v
Then after about 5 minutes the light goes out again, meter still around 12v
And then about 1/2 minute later the charge voltage kicks in, around 14.5v
On a warm start it kicks straight in.
I'll order a cable anyway but this isn't something stupid like sticking alternator brushes?
