OK thought i would give a update.
My connect was plugged into a diagnostic machine but brought up conflicting codes, low fuel pressure, high fuel pressure and so on. So all fault codes was deleted and the van was driven up the road but still there were to many codes.
I then chose to put the connect into a diesel specialist where there diagnostic machine brought up a fault code stating it was the fuel injectors. Due to the misleading nature of the limp mode issues i asked them to remove the injectors to confirm, which they did.
All 4 injectors was changed and im pleased to report the van now starts on the key and drives well
