1.8tdci fuelpump problem

Postby Geoff1979 » Tue May 23, 2017 7:09 pm

Hey guys
When i rode to work this morning i stopped at a red licht and when i got green and moved out i smelled somme diesel smell in the car.
So when i came at work i watched unter the car and i saw diesel dripping on the tarmac
So i restarted the car and i saw diesel sqeurting out of the fuelpump at the little plate at front.
That plate is fixed with 4 strange screws.
Can i unscrew this screws and fix my pump or do i need to buy an other one?
Thanks guys!

I take it it's a 06> with Siemens fuel system, there should be 3 of these square plates with the 4 bolts in, these are the top-plates for the piston housing, there's a rubber seal under them, 1st check the 4 bolts on each plate are tight if they are look for pump repair kit or individual seals and change the one that's leaking
Please don't send me PM's, i can't access them, when I try I get this:

Its a 07 with a siemens like you mentioned.
I dont have the correct socket to unleash the screws and its a holiday here today.
Tomorow i'm going to get the correct socket and try to unscrew the front plate.
And check with my ford dealer if they have the gasket i need
Thanks for the help liteace!

Be careful when opening there's a few small parts in there and make sure that piston is not on its pressure stroke

Hey guys,
Installed the new pump gaskets today
And try to start the car.
It started for 1 min and than died.
So i unscrewed the first fuel pressure tube to let the air out but it still wont start.
Is there something else i need to do?
Thanks guys!

Where else do i need to bleed it?
And do i need to fill up the pump with fuel or not?
I'm thinking about this from this morning :| :|
