squeak from rear

Postby bernieo » Thu May 25, 2017 4:38 pm

Hi Guys
i dont know if you can help me .got a 09 ford transit connect
but its got a very very annoying squeak very pronounced ,
its not metal on metal , ie brake shoes worn down . it sound like a rubber bush type noise
ive greased spring hangers and shock supports (lithium grease) made no difference .
its not anti roll bar bushes .as suggested by youtuber,
you only hear it when braking .when cold, no noise ,as soon as brakes have been applied a few times noise starts
https://youtu.be/bfurJbk2Mkg
is youtube clip of offending noise.its so bad im driving and trying not to use brakes.
im guessing back hubs will need to come off to get at brake shoes ,is there any trick or tips that might help
to get hubs off ,did it years ago it was a complete pain in the rear .
one bright spark says slacken adjuster through inspection hole ,that will never work .
will undoing bleed screw help .
thanks for any replies guys .much apreciated

I suggest that you let your mother-in-law ride in the cab.....

'05 Transit Connect T230 LX TDCi Engine buggered in Spain, replaced with a T200 base 12 plate in white which also buggered it's engine in Spain!
2nd Connect had breakdown insurance and an engine swap, see how long it lasts.....
