Guys HELP !

2004 Tourneo 1.8tdci. Limp mode so goes in garage and fits injectors. Still Limp mode so goes in garage something else. Still limp mode so he takes for a drive and gives it some stick it cuts out, no limp mode, just cuts out. Read the codes and nothing. So he did it again and again it cut out but rather than restart he got codes and it says fuel pump.

Now changing this is an expensive option and I am not 100% sure it will correct it. He's now put it back in my court "what do you want to do".

He also says that the pump is not a simple switch as its connected to the ECU and the key.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated as its reaching the end of tether and about to go into room 101.....Its a dog charity van and we can ill afford this endless saga.....

Take it to another garage. They don't have a clue...

Fuel pumps on 2003-2006 Connect 1.8 TDCI's don't require any programming. :idea:
There are a straight forward swap :wink:
Only injectors require programming to PCM.

Did garage check & replace diesel filter :?:
TDCI pump do wear out internally * in some cases breakup resulting on swarf being deposited in diesel filter & injectors.

Swarf will damage injectors too :idea:
