Headlamp suggestions?

Well, I'm a proud owner of a 2016 Transit Connect XLT and I had HIDS in my previous cars and loved the improved vision at night, so I bought HID kits thinking they'll work in this van, but they don't. All I get is a low beam fault. So I'm wondering if there are regular headlamp upgrades that provide more field of sight over the basic headlamps I currently have. Any suggestions?
