Coolant fan problems

Postby Maks » Thu Jul 13, 2017 9:09 am

Hi my transit connect 2009 model is over heating. The coolant fan isn't working. I checked fuses and relays but they are good. Connected the fan with direct supply and fan worked. Checked the wire for resitor (connected to the radiator) but there is no supply when key is turned on the ingition.
What else i need to check.
My problem is that the van is for my work and at the moment I really need it in hand:(
Many thanks
Mark

Had similar on mine. Was down to a seized fan bearing, but I managed to free it by stripping the motor. (Ford want an arm and three legs for replacement!)
Suggest you pop into Halfords, pick up a Haynes guide. All the electrical diagrams are in there.
On mine, there are two fans, and two relays associated with them, so it is a bit difficult to go into detail
