seatbelt warning light & buzzer

Just fitted a drivers seat with armrest to my 11 plate van now after a few minutes down the road the seat belt warning light starts flashing and beeping.im presuming the seat was from a higher spec van as my van didnt do this before is there anyway of clearing that function so it doesnt beep or the light flashers?
