What is different between 03 plate & 07 plate conect?

Hi. My old 03 plate LWB T230 failed it's MOT so I've bought another conect same T230 LWB as I'm a fence erector / Lanscape gardener by trade so I regularly carry quite heavy loads of materials etc.
Could someone tell me the main difference between the 2 ?
I plan swapping the solid bulkhead over & fitting the cage type out of old van as need to carry 8' & 9' fence posts etc regularly. Is this a simple job of bolting it straight in using the standard fixing points ?
I'm putting my roof rack on also & assume it's the same fixed points as old van also?
The new van feels quite a bit pokier than my old van. I think that is the TDCI engine whilst new van is TDDI engine. What are these engines like as my old van has been brilliant, reliable & amazing on fuel consumption etc so I'm hoping the replacement will be as good if not better.
What other differences is there between the 2 ?
