Timing belt replacement.

Postby D6GMB » Sat Nov 04, 2017 4:26 pm

Looking for info on the intervals for timing belt replacement on a 2014 95 ps new shape connect.
Van is 3.5 years old and has done 32k miles. Have had a look online but cant find any relevant info
and trust the dealers as far I can throw them.

Yes, but not at 32k miles though :?

If you look at the service schedules on ETIS, it should say when they should officially be changed, but you can always do it a bit earlier for peace of mind

I have a 2012 Tourneo that has just hit 40,000. I am going to replace the wet-belt in a minute, this coming coming week hopefully. I have been collecting all the genuine Ford parts for a few months. I am cringing everytime I put my foot on the accelerator, I can't cope with the emotional stress, the vision of a French, rubber belt in a bath of dirty, contaminated engine oil. It goes against everything I was ever told. When we replace our cambelts it is stressed over and over again "not to contaminate the belt with oil." Then, you turn the page and they are extolling the virtues of another rubber belt, sat in a sump of dirty oil. Bloody ridiculous. Not for me anyway, I can't personally cope with it, so I have to rid myself of the problem. If this belt fails, it's new motor time, simple as that.
