Older VCM can connect with Connect TDDI's VCM II's won't reprogram PCM. I've had the same With Connect TDDI & Transit mk6 TDDI

Find someone with genuine VCM II it can do what the VCM I could do + more, I've got a mk6 in at the moment, no problem with coms + loads of tddi connects, again no problem
Please don't send me PM's, i can't access them, when I try I get this:

IDS should automatically download calibration. As for programming a genuine device should be able to do it no problem.
For a clone, it's hard to say. There's so many different versions. :(

the thing is the new ids wont work on older vehicles the 102.02 wont even work on my van and thats a 2001 it like saying ids will work on mrk 5 transits which we all know will not

as i keep saying its a tddi connect so am a bit lost i did try v82.00 but couldn't find a new calibration file for the van :(

From the Ford website

VCM II
The Vehicle Communication Module II (VCM II) communicates with all Ford/Lincoln vehicles via the 16-pin diagnostic link. The VCM II is the direct replacement for the VCM.

VCM II will support all current Ford European production vehicles (including New Ka). Whilst every attempt has been made to support all legacy vehicles, the following previous models, due to their aging and unique vehicle protocols are not supported:

Escort and Mondeo up to August 1996
Galaxy up to February 2006.
