Hi everyone :D I'm new here I just had my back window in my hatch just explode and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue

I have heard of this problem before. Where you using the heated screen around the time? As this can cause expansion and contraction in the glass, on some vehicles. Are the heater elements damaged in any place? As this can cause shorts and hot spots in the glass.

I wasn't using the heated windows at the time it exploded , and as far as connection there is still glass attached to the connection points so I imagine that wasn't issue

This happened on my wife's Land Rover Defender a few years ago, parked up at work and the back door window exploded. Don't know if the HRW was in use at the time.

New one fitted and it never happened again.
