Firstly, it's not gearbox thrash... Haha
I've had a recon box, clutch kit, drive shafts, carrier bearing, drop links, ARB bushes, suspension mounts, gearbox and engine mounts, cam belt, wet belt all changed and wheel bearings checked, oh and all the pipes etc to the egr, turbo etc etc
The place that fitted the new box had it for a week trying to find out the cause of the noise and said it's coming from the timing case / wet belt area, so it's back in the garage that fitted said belts...
The aux belt (I think) whines when the van is cold but goes away once warm.
The noise is strictly limited to 1700-200 rpm only and she's quiet and smooth when driving the rest of the time.
Has anyone had an experience of this before or can point me in the possible right direction?
Cheers guys
