'05 Transit Connect T230 LX TDCi Engine buggered in Spain, replaced with a T200 base 12 plate in white which also buggered it's engine in Spain!
2nd Connect had breakdown insurance and an engine swap, see how long it lasts.....

Remove all 3 fuel pipes (noting which was the are fitting)
Remove filter. Fill new one full with diesel & fit.

You can either crank engine over until it's starts (no more than 5 seconds a time until engine fires up)
Or fit a fuel priming bulb between main fuel line from tank & filter. Prime fuel system, start engine. once warm up to running temp. Switch off & remove priming bulb & reconnect main fuel line to filter.
Restart engine & drive away

Thank you!

Bought a fuel filter from carparts4you.

Lifted bonnet,located filter,thought bugger that,closed bonnet.

Took van to friendly MoT man, gave him the filter.
Friendly MoT man gave filter to the apprentice, apprentice re-appeared clutching filter and said,'Wrong filter, mate.'
Asked friendly MoT man if he could source correct filter.MoT man said yes, come back tomorrow.

Arrived at MoT garage next day, apprentice fitted new filter, friendly MoT man lightened wallet by £40.

Lifted bonnet, nice shiny filter fitted, van picks up speed much quicker.

Happy bunny.

Gidday.
I want to change fuel filter on wife's tourneo. Priming bulb has to be on the right connector on my pics, right?

went back to have mine changed he took one look, took out new filter filled it with diesel got hold of the old one all it took to remove it was a twist and pull down then with the new one push up and twist then start your engine run for a couple of minns job done changed the air filter at the same time seems to be doing more to the gallon now as well
