Confusing Fuse layout in 2010 crewcab.

Postby kjfrankie » Thu Dec 21, 2017 11:44 pm

I have a 2010 registered Transit Connect crewcab.
The fuse box behind the glove box does not seem to have any numbers for the fuse locations!
Can anyone help me identify the fuse location numbers for the fuse box that is pictured in the attachment please?
Many thanks in advance.
Frankie

Have a closer look at the fuse box where the fuses plug in, they're normally numbered there or inside the cover
Please don't send me PM's, i can't access them, when I try I get this:

Thanks for the reply, but the fuse box does not have a cover and as you can see in the photo there are no fuse numbers.
I wish they hadn't changed the fuse box because the older one was easy to understand and read.

Which one where you looking for? By the looks of it, you start from the top left corner, then down the column, then the next row - down again, then the next etc (i.e from top to bottom on each row) You can see by the fuse ratings that they are in the correct place according to the list. I have a '54 plate, so mine is totally different. But this seems to make sense after i studied your pictures.
Hope this helps!

Many thanks for the reply Kenton.

I have the dreaded problem of the dashboard gauges being delayed from starting when i turn on the ignition!
Reading other posts here I am now under the impression it is caused by multiple fuse failure.
I will have another look using your advise when the weather improves.
Thanks again.

Oh right, i think your dash is the later, more computer driven version. No problem mate, do let us know how you get on!

All the best,

Are you sure it's not a problem with the ignition switch :?:

I had a similar problem in my mk7 transit, if I pushed on the key while it was in the ignition all the gauges came back on and the radio.

I don't know what it is called but I got a new part from frauds and it cured the problem.

It is fitted on the left hand side of the steering cowl.

Cheers.

Hi.
I have a transit mk7 so I don't know if you will have the same connector that I have.

What happened to me was that I would lose the radio, rev and speedo and I noticed if I moved the key around in the ignition switch everything came back on line.

I went to Fords and asked for a new ignition switch and he asked me which one, I bought the one that goes on the left hand side of the steering cowl and it sorted the problem straight away.

I hope it helps.

Cheers.
Ian.
