Cant see an issue if your gutting it & switching off DPF:-)Darren.w wrote:martynx wrote:Usually the suffix changes for revisions, but the prefix differs on yours so that may indicate the "AV" one is for a model with different power level. Get full # & check with ford parts dept on it to be sure.
Thanks martynx I’ve spoke to the parts guy in ford but he’s not got a clue. He couldn’t even find the av number. He’s useless at the best of times though.
The reason I’m asking is because I’m wanting to remove my internals of my dpf so I’m thinking it should be ok as It’s just the casing I’m going to use if that makes sense.
The one on my van only has 10k on it so not wanting to ruin that, and is £200 dearer to buy a used one.

Mot laws have tightened but its still a visual inspection rather than a gases test. If you cut it round a seam rather than cut a hole / hatch in it? that's what i always do and glad i have now the mot man is obliged to check the filter system more carefully.Darren.w wrote:dumper wrote:Why not get a stainless steel one made up i only paid less than £300 for a full system on my mk6 with a dummy cat then when you need dpf for mot put it back on
I spoke to a couple of exhaust places and they said they wouldn’t do it because it’s illegal now so I need to do my own lol

Darren.w wrote:Hi all,
I’m looking to see if anyone knows if 2 dpf part numbers cross over to each other as they look identical from what I can see in pictures but want to make sure it will fit before I buy it.
They are only 1 digit out
My original is DV61-5H270
Replacement is AV61-5H270
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
