Postby connect-roadhaul » Wed Jan 24, 2018 8:08 pm

As above I have been thinking about getting this done has anyone had this done and there has been a noticeable difference and was there any down sides to the remap?

I can't speak for other mappers or maps, but the Vantuner map on my 85ps TDCi 280, means that even when fully loaded, I can keep up with the more powerful vehicles on the motorway, without having to drive it hard :)

Connect 2009-2013 1.8 TDCI 75ps - Siemens fuel system.

Simply used IDS & install standard calibration for 90ps onto PCM (Engine ECU)

So it’s safe to update to 90ps and keep within the engines limits for reliability ?

Yes 75 & 90ps engines including turbo & injectors are the same. Only difference is calibration on PCM

I've for quite a few members on here now. 8)

I've had my 2010 connect remaped for the past year and have put 18000 miles on it since. When i got the van it was dangerously slow and limited to 70mph. Martin at Vantuner removed the limiter, deleted the EGR of the ECU and all for a discounted rate as he was doing it all at the same time. Last time i checked the website he was doing postal remaps if you able to remove the ECU yourself that is. Think its only 2 bolts but obviously while its out you will be without the van. The only down side i noticed was clutch slipping not long after the map however i think the old one was on its way out anywayway and since replacing tbe clutch with a ford one i have had no problems related with the map. The best wag to describe the gains of the map is by saying its like driving a completely different van. However im only speaking about vantuner remap. Cant say about anyone elses. My advise is get him to do it and you will not be disapointed. Its great to be on a moterway and drive alongside a sprinter then floor it and see him disappear in your winv mirror

Yes my clutch isn't slipping at all. I did think i had an issue with the springs in the clutch however the issue turned out to be a loose bolt on the lower gearbox mount which i handnt torqued correctly qhen i put a new mount in.

Hope this helps m8 8)

Jumping jacks mentioned about the lower gearbox mount - keep an eye on that, as the rubber bush wears out and can cause a lot of unwanted movement. Replaced mine at 100k as it was torn and wobbling all over the pace.
