I have VM Ford Transit 2.4 turbo diesel engine which at higher revolutions makes a noise like loose valves. I am wondering if these valves have a hydraulic lifters or just loose adjustments?
Can you advice me please before I take the engine rocket cover off the engine?

PS There is no adjustment for valve clearance.
