Connect 2014 fuel filter cut open

Postby chelsea » Sun Apr 15, 2018 10:52 am

Thought I would cut the filter open and see what’s going on

16,000 miles change and only used Texaco and shell diesel to fill up

And the results are interesting, before I used tesco and sainsburys fuel on my previous transit and the result was what just looking like jelly stuck to the filter, this is pretty good in comparison.

The filter is made by purflux so it’s a half decent filter
Filter smaller than I thought

Good post mate! Supermarket fuels have always been of a lesser quality. I use the expensive stuff in my old girl, and seems to have made a significant difference since i have owned it - except the rough cold running which is an injector issue.
