Spill/Leak Off Pipe info please?

Postby axxeman » Mon Jun 18, 2018 2:08 pm

I need to get some of the above as I intend to replace my old leak back array. Does anyone have any info on;

1. What it is called?
2. The inside diameter of the pipe?
3. Where to get it (I am guessing fleabay so any links would help)

It appears to be a braided covered rubber from what I can tell.

2004 TDCi so looks like just chop the pipe into sections and push on over the appropriate nipples etc.

Thanks people,

Greg

Leak off/leak back pipes.
I just bought a set of the plastic connectors to make a leak off test rig. I used 5mm ID PVC tubing for testing but PVC would be useless as a permanent replacement.
Bought connectors from:
https://www.dieselcomponentsuk.com/
They do the complete sets as well.
I did find releasing the existing connectors bloody fiddly and there is a technique, and the new connectors were so tight that it damaged the O-rings getting them in.
That might be because the connectors were sold as Delphi connectors and Mine are Siemens. But I don't know. Worked good enough for the test anyway.

There won't be O rings on mine being Delphi and 04. Just push fits but I need the correct info to get a replacement length of pipe,

Oh yes, so they are!
And where are all the pre-cut kits for pre-2006?

Haven't got any farther with this thanks to this wretched heat, (does me in). I see that most pipe has an internal ID of 3.2 mm and some other is 3.0 mm. So, do I "guess" 3.2 as it is so common on EBay and get a metre and a fresh blade in my Stanley, or go tighter with the 3.0 mm and hope that it doesn't split?

Haven't seen any pre-cut kits that you mention and, to be frank, I would swerve such a thing as the price would be way higher than a cut length. I've just about wasted enough money on this b*stard this year.

Thanks.
