Which engine

Postby Col73 » Mon Jun 18, 2018 8:56 pm

I've just bought a 2009 ford connect t200 75 for cheap money (£100). The bodywork is in good condition with only a small dent on the wing. The van could really do with a bit of a tlc. A good clean and a few bits of trim. The reason why it was so cheap is that it needs an engine. I know its a 1753cc but is there different ones i.e tddi, tdci. Is there a certain one i need or should will it not matter. I cant see where it says which one mine is. Dont want to have to start modifying anything or changing anything. Just put engine in and drive

I'm no expert on this but to keep the forum on it's feet:
You can't go from Tddi to Tdci Mk1 or Tdci Mk2 without changing ECU, wiring etc. etc.
2009 would be Tdci mk2(06on) with Siemens injection and that's what you need.
Someone else might be able to come up with engine codes.
Please someone correct me if I'm talking Bollox, there is heaps of info on this if you search back.
Good luck
