Postby mutley8979 » Sat Jun 30, 2018 11:41 pm

Hi, i've just finished changing my radiator on my 2008 Ford Connect, but I'm left with the lead coming from the alternator and can't for the life of me see where it goes, so the van's not charging Please HELPPPPPP ASAP

Oh it's a 3 wire (red, white and blue ending in a triangular type socket

Someone said it should go to ECU?? where is this, the lead was clipped onto the fan frame so isnt that long...NEED VAN IN THE MORNING FOR WORK!!!!

I think that the plug you mention should be plugged into the alternator because there isn't any other way.

That sounds like the Smart charge cable, goes from the alternator to a connector clipped by the cooling fan.
