It was spring, now summer. No details on whether the auto is a twin clutch or old fashioned style though.

The current Connect auto is a twin clutch. Odd that they’d take a backward step.

Dont know  knew someone a couple of years ago maybe longer that had a prototype Custom fitted with a 8 spd auto, same box ? he said it was a fantastic bit of kit, why they opted for a 6 spd maybe strength or cost ?

You’re right, it’s a torque converter box, apparently the twin clutch boxes don’t take kindly to heavy towing loads. I’ve always liked twin clutch boxes, so I’ll have to have a spin in a new Connect to see how the 8spd compares.

Or a 1.6ecoboost, but as V says, the 1.5 turbo is very good. I wonder if it'll suffer from the addition of adblue in the new van?

Such a shame that it's not the same twenty quid for VED as it is in the Focus :(

I know, my current Connect doesn’t have adblue either, they must have added it to get the emissions even lower?

How many sheets of plasterboard can it accomodate? How many 6" blocks and bags of cement will it handle?
