Cleaning the inlet manifold

Postby bikermikey » Wed Aug 08, 2018 12:52 am

so they haynes manual says to get the inlet off you have to...
remove outlet pipe from intercooler
disconnect vacuum hoses and plugs from egr valve
remove control solenoid
remove the exhaust manifold
remove egr cooler
remove inlet manifold :-)

my question is - is all of this really required? just asking because reading up on people who've done the job, they make it sound very quick and easy to have off but this doesn't sound so quick. lol

Very sorry, just realised this is for the Transit Connect, and not MK7 Transit, my mistake. BTW to ADMIN I will be introducing myself in the New Members section very soon.
