Changing headunit to Ford 6000CD

Postby mk2dk » Tue Aug 21, 2018 5:53 pm

Hi
I've bought a used Ford 6000CD headunit from a Focus to replace the original kassette player. I was pretty sure it was plug&play, as both units is original Ford items, but the 2 connectors on the back are not identical from Focus to Connect. Is it possible to get an adapter to fit between connect wiring and Focus headunit ?
Connect is a 2003
Focus is a mk1

I think there MAY technically be a difference, but can you post some pics of the cable connector and the rear of the new radio? I think i had a similar problem with doing the same upgrade on a late Escort van many years ago...
