changing fuel filter

Postby jaystar2k22 » Sun Apr 14, 2024 7:32 pm

Hi all,

Im hoping one of you guys can help me as you seem knowledgeable.
I have a 2019 transit connect 1.5tdci 120ps and want to change the fuel filter a spart of a service at 76k.

I have looked all in the engine bay but cannot find it. Turns out they have put the filter in the tank as 'non-service item' .
Seems to me that wont do the engine any good long term so im keen to change it if its doable. Does anybody know or have a step by step guide to do this?

Many thanks in advance
Jay

I'm sure it will be there somewhere .

Under the coolant system header tank ...look from front of engine top left hand corner
before 2014 it was in plain site
just looked at a few more pics
2016 its there in full view
2017 its peeping out and can just make out the pipes going to it
2019 .. you cant see it at all.

have another look before you commit.

all the best.mark

Fuel filter sits bolted onto the side of the diesel tank, and requires undoing a torx screw, remove
inlet and outlet pipes and the connector, there is a video on YouTube
