New alternator seemed to work-, got 100 miles out of it, figured all was well, left it at train station for 2 weeks, came back and got it, indicators staying on due to cold- then a further 50 miles and it failed again just as I was pulling into my drive yesterday
. Checked loom (as is perfunctory), still fine. Recharged battery from wall AGAIN. Has to be another wire in the harness or the ECU has gone nuts. Can't be bothered to remove the entire wiring harness and test it- going to Ford on Monday with my "fix it or die" face..
