I bought a load from ASDA when it was £3 per litre. It's £4 per litre now. I get around 43mpg (usually Shell) and on the latest fill (Tesco) I have done 440 miles and the warning light has just come on. I use 250ml of 2-stroke oil when I fill up and always run it until the warning light comes on between fills.

i think i might have to do that too... does it harm the engine in any way??

seems like you lot seem to get a load of extra miles in there too!!!... im only getting 350/400 to a tank, and 400 is rare, thats slow motorway driving!

Quite the reverse if what you read is right. The injection pump and injectors benefit from the additional lubrication.

You are probably hauling a ton of equipment around all the time. Every few weeks I completely empty my van to tidy it up and repack it. I am amazed at the amount of stuff I had forgotten was there and is not needed 90% of the time. Keeping the weight down makes a noticeable difference.

well i did mine earlier, it does seem quieter and smoother, not sure if just a placebo effect though,

As i did fit a new air flter at the same time,

Handy tip asda do measuring jugs in the kitchen isle for 35p, Handy for measuring out :D

And jack you just reminded me my egr could do with a clean to, But not sure how much of a pain to do it is
