Well if it is a solid flywheel at least you,ve saved replacing that just a pressure plate, clutch, thrust bearing and prob better to replace clutch cylinder since its inside the box iirc when its out

Had nsf wheel bearing done at local garage. 150 incl vat. Nut stays on now. Vibration under load between 18-30 mph still present.

Hub nut unscrewed again. After wheel bearing fitted. Wobbling at 18-30 still.
To put this to bed finally:
Removed drivers side pattern new driveshaft; fitted my old ford clunky OSF driveshaft. Still running with new pattern passenger shaft. now wobbling at 58 and also 18-30 under acceleration.
Bit the bullet paid for new ford passenger side driveshaft. At same time fitted pattern new drivers side shaft.
FIXED!

Wobbling under acceleration in 1st 2nd came back. Bought 2009 GENUINE offside driveshaft for 45 quid this time cured fault. My van doesnt seem to like the pattern ones!

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I've been searching the forum for a problem I'm currently having with my TC, and this seems very much like what I'm getting.
Can I ask; did you get a very loud clunk every time you set off? Just as you come off the clutch? Along with a similar (but weaker) clunk when you clutch in again?

If you're getting a clunk every time you come on & off the throttle then that points at the rear lower dogbone mount.
Easy & cheap, as long as the bolts come out.

Thanks! I'll check that out then. Hopefully it is that.
Seems to be that it's not rmp specific, nor does it continually occur whilst travelling. Seems to be as the engine rocks, i.e. changing direction or coming on & off power.
Couple of times it's clunked very loud and the front of the van felt like it's jumped or like I've ran over a glass bottle.
I also have a very bad vibration from about 50mph+ feels like a sideways shudder.
I did notice recently that the inner CV boot was badly damaged on the OS, so chalked it down to CV issues, but now I've done a bit of reading about the dogbone, I think it's a very strong possibility.

Thanks again!
