They replaced the tyres after some to-ing and fro-ing, but countered with paperwork to show that the Connect is a Class 4 vehicle, and only Classes 5 and 7 are required to have correctly rated load index tyres for MOT purposes. I asked another MOT place to confirm this and it appears to be correct.
So, in short, you can legally have 91T rated tyres on a LWB Connect, and still be within the law..........the grey area being that you could be carrying weight within the limits of the vans capabilities, but not the tyres! And I don't yet know what would happen legally if that were shown to be the case.
Happy motoring!

I have just put on some 205 55 16's on the van, a set of 4. Can my 195 65 15 steely still be used as a spare?
If not, do I get a 16" steely instead??

But they are the only thing that keep your vehicle on the road so better of going with extra load that is what I did on my connect not worth the risk as we all know vans get loaded right up.
