Connect Hesitation / Slight Judder

Postby connectmac » Fri Mar 25, 2011 12:39 pm

Hi.
My connect 75 tddi has a bit of a problem while accelerating. It only happens at around 1750 rpm and when the engine is warm and holding a steady speed. If you floor it the judder/ misfire doesnt happen. It doesnt happen when engine is cold. Its driving me mad. Ive had it on a computer and no codes were found. Could it be a temp sensor of some sort? Any ideas people? Thanks

Is your EGR blanked mate ? Its a good starting point,, easy and cheap to do.If your feeling really adventurous you could always pop the inlet manifold off and clean the gunge and crud out,, they get manky , no wonder the van cant breath . i did mine , all in two hours  Btw chuck a new air filter in too .

Mine does this, especially when going up a hill.
I took it in to frauds (under warranty) when I bought it about a year ago and they couldnt find fault with it so I have just put up with the juddering
I have rebooked it in on Wednesday (warranty runs out on Thursday) when I am going to take one of their mechanics for a spin in it to show them the problem so will let you know what they say.

This is a very long shot, but do you all use supermarket fuel?
Mine used to do this with Sainsburys diesel, as soon as I used something decent it was gone and has never come back.

Yeah egr is blanked and de-catted. K&N panel filter. Checked all pipes and intercooler and all good. Just does it when engine warm so thought it could be a sensor or something

Great I'll try that first if not then I've heard it could be dives driveshaft gearbox side could have been strained and the person I got it off had put a bit of weight in it daily but it's been looked after

Euro car parts have just told me that my van does have a dmf.... must be the problem then? It's like I can feel the engine a bit in the clutch pedal when it's to he floor, put my foot down on the throttle and it has a slight judder at some point, so now it leaves me thinking dmf, drive shaft or injector... now eml light stays on until late I start the engine is that normal
