Pit Stop Tent this year

Postby MinorMatt » Mon Jun 16, 2014 10:30 am

Ok Guys,

The pitstop tent will be much the same as last year - but with less bits for sale (unless I can pick up some more stuff between now and then)

There will be:

- free advise about any technical queries relating to your transit (If I can't help, I will almost certainly be able to find someone who can!)
- free MINOR maintainance (as in things that can be done without special tools in a few minutes - e.g. wiper blade changes, oil checks etc)
- free diagnostics (transits up to 2013) including EPICs
- Key programming (you supply the new key(s) pre cut) - free for MK5, £10 for mk6/7 (as I have to pay for a code for these). You may need to bring ALL the keys you have for the vehicle (esp. for remote coding!).

Oh and there will probably be tea and coffee again, and I am hoping to have a few demonstrations (open to suggestions.... and people who will volunteer their van to be demonstrated on!)

If anyone is interested I may well bring some boxes (approx 18" x 18" x 24") of assorted/lucky dip (mainly non transit) genuine ford parts for £10/box?

Matt, I don't mind my van being used as a demo van, but being a petrol one it won't be much use for engine bay demos, as most mk5's are dirty diesels

I Volunteer mine for a wash and wax

I can also demonstrate how to pick up every single bit of mud in the field on one wheel!

On a more serious note, of somebody had ids with them, I'm sure would attract a few if there was a basic demo of pump learns and configuration stuff on the mk7s etc

I will have IDS  but I haven't played with it on a mk6/7 so someone else would need to demo that.

And no... its not a free car wash!

I was thinking more along the lines of someone wanting a power tweak on a Di, bringing their van over at a given time and I can talk a group through it... and voila one demo!

Do we want the bikini car wash girls in the tent? I'm sure they can travel up from Hayling for us.

Not really sure? But I ended up with one wheel looked like I'd nicked it of a tractor
And I'd only just got it washed for the show and shine!
