Any home made caravan type thing is guaranteed to end up weighing more than a real caravan!

Hi Robbie
You mentioned a small teardrop to wiggle between the trees. Remember trailers narrower than the towing vehicle are difficult to see in the mirrors.
They are b*st*rds to reverse, and you can't stand up in them to get dressed.
A small caravan would be a better bet. Eriba Puck, not many in the U.K. a bit of a 'fashion item' so expensive.
There are those French 'Rapido' fold down caravans that fold flat like a trailer tent, but I think they are quite 'sought after' too.
Regards to Emma & 'littl'un
Have fun & good luck.

Cheers for heads up terry.
hoping teardrop would be lightweight enough to unhitch and manoeuvre manually.
have towed before but Also know first-hand how much of a b*stard reversing is... steering opposite way to make turn etc.
Plan would be to basically only drive forward with it hitched !!

The "fun " me and RonTransit and my pal mark had getting rons caravan in... fek me took 2 days to get it manouvered cos There wasnt much room to swing the mk5 once caravan was thru gates!

I'd have done that without the motor attached, mind you, you can get motor movers for caravans these days :) we move our caravan around manually
