hmmm, i was thinking more along the lines of literally everyone whos there has a chance to vote (wives, kids, even non transit owners :o  ) not just the people who have entered a van in the show :D
I know it can be bad to have one person doing the judging as they can of course be biased :(
i just thought it was a fair way to have everyone ive seen it done with good results on quite a few occasions :D

but i'd be interested in everyone elses views on this

thing is luke if theres a minter smiley say a green one like mine not the nisest of coulors but stock low miles and very clean is in the standed class and there a nice looking p reg custom with its flip paint but theres a little rot around the rear doors and one wheel arch most people would vote for that due to the nice coulor

also most peolpe wont vote and fill the fourms in, we have this at our show for our own cars as we dont enter our own show just picth them agains each other and people just cant be bothered to vote :(

Even though I might not be there, I like noddy's idea of having an independant person (or persons) to do the judging. Then it's more a case of "what does the man from fords think of my van" rather than "what do the forum members think of my van"

Why not let the public have their wishes in the "best in show" category and have a few independent judges that takes the rest of the categories. (I belive that you'll get the idea even if I wrote it in a very strange way)

The best way to go, saves everyone from voting for their mates then...

most of the time they want a fee how ever because the show is new and if there interteaed in put a show report in with some pics then they may do you a deal they may even send a show reporter out if not then may aks you to take some high res pics for them to use but its worth a try

I dont have a problem in making a few throphies out of old bits. i have made quite a few
model bikes and car out of old f1 gearbox bits and sparkplugs etc. got the kit too.
if you guys dont mind gathering up some bits and pieces for me to make them out of.

as for mags, surely there is someone on here that either works for or is in the loop of ford/van mags? suggest practical classics. they are all petrol heads! maybe you could get Fuzz townsend etc to be a judge?
