If the car parking company on the services puts a ticket on your windscreen you can ignore it or pay it, if you ignore it they will keep sending letters etc then phone calls saying you owe x amount annd every couple of weeks goes up , carry on ignoring them, your actual contract is with the services and they have to take you to court and PROVE they have aquired a loss through you parking say 2 hours over ( when the parking company rings point this out and offer say £2.50, which is better hourly price than a lot of car parks) if they don't acept this then tough see you in court :). If you get clamped however, you will probably have to pay the charge and try and reclaim later back ofthe car parking company ( but don't hold your breath getting it back).

Plenty info and cases of parking tickets/ clamping on martins money .com

Clamping on private property is illegal. IF you ever get clamped ring the police pronto and they will get it removed.

Back to your conversion ideas. To keep leccy usage down. Fit LED lights - they are use so much less battery power than fluorescent tubes or halogens. Fit a solar panel to the roof. Perhaps you might be best having two leisure batteries and set up separate circuits for essentials (lights, phone charger) and a different one for non essentials (TV, DVD player).

That's pretty much what we have - LEDs and two leisure batteries and two cranking batteries. We have a split charge relay so they all get charged when driving and also a mains charger for when we are hooked up. Haven't needed a solar panel.

I use my LWB Connect as a stealth camper, sleep in it 3 / 4 night a week as I work away from home, had the van insulated ,ply lined, carpeted, leisure battery fitted and some LED lighting, storage which doubles up as a single bed ,does me fine, and being a small ish van doesn't seem to stick out

Ditto, the T230 is long enough to sleep in, like you I make use of it when working away.
Still difficult to find places to park where you aren't disturbed by passing traffic etc.

PLEASE DONT IGNORE TICKETS FROM TRAFFIC WARDENS,POLICE ETC AS THESE REQUIRE TOTALLY DIFFERENT ACTIONS
I know its a long time since this last post but still felt that I had to reply and give out some information as regards parking on private land.
Ok so most of you will know that clamping on private land and has been illegal to do this since last October(2012) since then we have had a LARGE influx of these private parking companies springing up all over the place(they drive me feckin crazy).
Before the change in the law last year the general advice was to ignore and they would go away, well they will still go away but there is a little more to it now,
dont worry that they have your address as these scamming little feckers will have obtained your address from the dvla at the grand cost of £2.50 anyway,
The advice now is NOT to ignore but after you haver the first letter stating what your "offence" was then you can appeal through POPLA(parking on private land appeals) and this costs the scammers somewhere in the region of £30 to process..NOT YOU...THEM....appeal how you like..write and tell them you had stopped to scratch your balls or if youre a lady....well put in what you like! but just be aware that IF and its a HHHUGE IF it goes to court which is highly unlikely this could be used as evidence so the my advice is to go on to pepipoo or visit MSE and get into the forums on this subject and look for a poster named zzzmslazydaisy (spelling may not be correct) she is a retired solicitor and she definitely knows her stuff and will guide you through to a very sccssesful defence,
Ive had 3 of these that needed defending and have never paid one(about 6 before the change in law which I ignored) as these scammers just need to get the correct letter sent to them and they are completely fecked!!!! they don't do court as they would get laughed out of the place.
Please DONT pay them anything without first getting the correct info from the sites ive mentioned.
regards
HUSHEECHEE....PS please pass on the info to everyone you know and we together can get rid of these b@@@@@ds just like has been done with clamping.

Thanks
