Well getting down to the nitty gritty now, all big jobs done, a few minor things to finish, a bit of plumbing, elect, solar panels etc then time for some. Pleasure while sinking a few.

Hi
Just some up date's. Installed a couple of 170 watt solar panels, also wiring up a couple of anderson plugs, to allow to add a solar blanket, or other outside 12v power source.
Also got coming 4 lead crystal, 135ah battries, to install when arrive after xmas.
Think that be enough storage to keep all the electric's to go bush for some time.

Thanks Mate,
Ya been a bit of a mission, but nearly there...lol if you ever get to the end. Always new ideas or inspirations.
Was going to 4x4 it but thinking its a but old, so may start a new project some time, with a later vehicle.
As for this , maybe a ladder spotties , roof rails, would like to carry a kayak an bike.
At the moment sorting a roller insect door to keep the bloody mossies out....lol
But guess as time goes on something else spring to mind..

Hi
Well back from a few days away. Thought id weight it with all the normal gear on board, full tanks of water, fuel and gear, 3320kg, only thing missing a couple of house batteries, which will give us 660AHs, give us plenty of free camping and still come with in vehicle spec requirements.
Thought id chuck in a couple of pics ofbed made up and table setup.
Only thing could co with a few more HP , but her in the passangers seats happy, (ya allways got to be in a bloody hurry to go any where) as it is not going in a hurry now.....lol but still keeps with traffic flow.
Might changd this latter 200HP be good....haha

Hi all,
Well been a while but batteries arrived and dc2dc charger, so over the last few days guess you know what kept me busy.
Have located house batteries 1 under drivers seat with van battery and the other under passengers seat {as don't have much room to put them any where else}...lol On the roof theres 2 170/340 watt panels and the batteries are 2 135 amp hrs/270 amps.
So after installation id thought id give them a run
Well had on all led lights,14 sets of strip lights, 130 litre fridge, range hood fans, TV, bathroom extractor, roof vent fan, lounge room fans, diesel water heater, fridge cooling fan.
The day was over cast with occasionlly the cloud lifted for no more the a few 30 secondsor so.
the max amp ran between 10 and 15 amps but most the day was under that, with all that running batteries where kept between 12.2 to 13.2 volts.
So pretty happy with that, be interesting when we have a cloud free day as should be pumping some where about 28amp but at this rate been conservative should get a couple of days with no sun at all.
ill try and add some pics,
