A really good job and very neat, just one concern...The table, i think you have got the the 2 parts for the leg the wrong way round the part on the floor should fit to the bottom of the table top,and the other is sunk into the floor.

what are the regulations nowadays regarding regulators?
Do they require bulkhead regulators and H/P hoses on new conversions??

I would use a more substantial bottle holder than a small ratchet strap, a circular mount, with a clamp to sit the bottle in may be a good idea in the event of a rollover.

very nice job tho.

The gas bottle is held with what they use in caravans and they flip more than I hope my van is going to  I think i will fit another when i get around to it. The info i read said the cooker/hob needs to be fastened to the van and if using hose it should be as short as possible. To answer another question It has a gas drop hole the size of a 10p in the floor and i am going to be fitting wind deflectors so the air can change, May fit a skylight in the summer when the weather improves
Many Thanks Neil

Lovely looking conversion matey,
And im pleased to hear the DVLA approved it - i was getting worried with this talk of it having to LOOK like a camper.

DO you have a fridge hidden away in there?

Shield would not give me insurance on the van as I did not value the van over £3500 but they put me on to Adrian Flux and I got a years insurance for £190 to say i had quotes for £320 when it was a van it is worth changing it with DVLA. :D

Suffolkboi No i dont have a fridge the other half wanted a toilet so it had to give way. I do use the toilet for storage for the fishing gear as well so not a bad thing

Strange I'm with Shield value of £10 000 for my self build for £195, although they won't insure the alloys side bar or a bar, however they say I am still insured but they won't pay out for those parts.

My renewal is due end of the moneth so i'll also give Adrian flux a call

All taxed and took it out for the first time and I was a bit shocked when i picked the van up In July I could only get 50 mph (down hill) out of it and after giving it a service and doing the pump mod I was sat nicely at 70mph on the motorway and did 106 miles for £20 (£1.41 Ltr) so well happy getting more confident with it every day. More pics to follow
Cheers Neil

Hi Bud
Fantastic conversion looks good, let us know when you get it re-classified. My bed is also across the van and measured 5ft 11inch but they must have used common sence and passed it. With regards to the plated have you thought of using small cargo net that what i did.

Thought I would update. I have fitted a tow bar, graphics, bike carrier and a new awning. Just been away for a few days and the van was great. Awning was only £69 new bargain lol
