Get in via the back door if possible and kip across the seats

A cop sees you opening the passenger door and then folding that seat to access the rear for a kip on a 2 door ..... cop then decides to arrest you .... what would the judge say .... WHY HAS THIS CASE BEEN BROUGHT BEFORE ME !! ..

Cops use the being in charge option when they do not get the person actually driving but it becomes reasonable to assume that they will be

It would be unreasonable not to have such a law because if it could only be used if the engine was on when the person in the driving or passenger seat then they could be sat watching them for hours just sat in the front seat with engine off waiting for the cops to bog off

You could go onto an advanced driving site and ask the traffic officers that frequent them if you like

thats the police though as rog says when you are up before the beak they will most probably send you home
i got taken to court for refusing to give a breath sample ( ban) as i wasn't driving i told the officer to fook off and go shag a sheep (in wales at the time) a couple of months later in court the magistrates just sent me home

funny everyone has a story how they got off of something


all depends then

the fuzz it seems will nick you (and then check your DNA and search your house etc)
the CPS and Courts will think about it and might let you off


unless of course your DNA or house was interesting

At the end of the day it depends how dependant you are on alcohol. Despite what mr iam senior observer says I wouldn't take the risk and I seriously doubt that the IAM would suggest you do either.

you can get arrested and charged for being drunk in charge of your own fit toned muscular body let alown a car or a push bike or a pair of crocks and studded underpants

you can be charged for being drunk in charge of a bicycle but if only pushing it at the time and not riding it the cps will not proceed because they know what a judge will say ...

Me being an IAM observer has nothing to do with any of this - why should it?

The only advantage it gives me is that I get to chat with police traffic officers quite often
