What are you doing for a mattress, Are you buying peaces of foam or cutting down a mattress ??

The cushions in the pic are ones off an old futon we had in our old van ages ago. Just using them for something to sit on.
Cheapest way seems to be an Ikea mattress, cheaper than buying foam on it's own, so that's what we will be doing. Just make sure you get a firm mattress, as they are better for seat cushions than a soft/medium one.

Overhead locker carpeted and LED downlights installed. Just need to sort the wiring and add a switch.
Not sure whether to fit doors or not, look ok left open.

Great work mate is the paint on the mdf doors a hammered finish?

Explorer, no the paint is just a solid colour, but I thin the last coat down really thin, and when put on with a gloss roller gives a slight stippled look.
It's not really as pronounced as the camera sees it, and look quite nice.

Tarted up the rear doors with some carpet. Scrubbed the hell out of them, but some of the marks wouldn't come off the paintwork, but they are a bit cleaner than they were. Starting to look almost finished at the back

Started on the electrics, this will get tidied up and fitted properly once the leisure battery is in. The small battery pack is just to make sure everything works.
Looking to have the van usable for the weekend, for a test run before we finish things off, and this at least means all the lights work.

where did you get the grey carpet from and how much was it???

Carpet is off ebay. Loads of sellers, just search for van lining carpet. Most come with glue included. Got ours from herehttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAN-LINING-VE ... 5ae1e1e448

Not cheap, but I think the bulk of the cost is the glue. We will have used close on 15 meters in length (30 square meters) by the time we are finished.
You will find 2 types, Veltrim is thicker and harder wearing, Superstretch is thinner but easier to work round curves etc. We used the Veltrim.

Could do with some wheel trims/alloys and some camper graphics.

Would love some alloys, but that will have to wait, a tin of silver paint may have to do for now

Gas dropout fitted in locker. Used to hate driiling holes through van, getting easier now
