Been and fettled blowing exhaust tonight as it in for test on saturday morning . Just got front pipe off and it started raining but had shorts on so i thought its less to get wet. Noticed drivers side rocker cover has been leaking. Didnt want to start with them tonight so i thought id try and tighten screws down. They were barley tight must of worked loose.
Ill nip round with grease gun tomorrow and show willing and hope it passes.

Was supposed to before taking camper for test today.
Got a phone call last night off a guy that works at the garage to say that mark (the new owner and mot tester) had gone to a vw festival at harewood house.
"didnt he ring you? "
" no"
"thats funny coz he hasnt called the other customer thats coming tomorrow too"

Not much of a update.
Its been parked up since tax ran out in september.
For some time now ive been looking at cab seats. I would like to seat three up front but not close the cab off from camper.
So far ive got a vwt4 folding passenger seat thats still a ornament in me kitchen coz someone said they could make some brackets on a CNC machine. Ive been looking at seat belts, the drivers side has seen better days and passenger side is at full stretch even for slim jims because the single passenger seat sit further forward.
I thought id struck gold at a steam rally when a guy had some brittax period looking belts for sale for £20 but when i finally got the inertia belt to release they were too short but managed to get me money back when i sold them at cheshire steam rally.
I kept on looking on ebay at daft priced seat belts from transporters and scrap yards but they cut belts up for lifting straps then this morning i spotted a transit powered ldv on its side in a old wood yard next door to site. Had a wonder round at dinner time to see if any one was about and met a miserable old guy, asked him if it was for scrap and he told me it was on its side coz he needed clutch for the other ldv he runs (they are tight round here) when i told him i was looking for belts for camper he said i could have alook and if they were any good i could have them for a fiver. Nipped back onto site and borrowed a socket set off ground worker, took belts out, all bolts were 17mm and bunged old bloke a tenner. Hes happy (in his own way) so am i.

Chucked belts into soak last night.
They are light brown! I thought they black.

Couple of rinses and they are looking good. Image
