wanted to flush cooling system and change stat but snapped a bolt head off. i don't have a pic of me dad with a lead welding torch warming bolt up i think i was more worried about something catching fire!
Image
when me dad drive it back from essex he said water temp was erratic and heater was hot and cold ( i was nearly asleep following in connect at 50mph all way back to west yorkshire) this is what we drained out .

Image
this looked abit dodgy and clear air line type pipe had gone hard.
Image

Image

done a few little jobs this weekend 2nd sept12.
had chance to put van over a pit to change middle section of exhaust but found some rust some1 had covered up! :(
Image
Image
drivers side is worse maybe because mud flap is missing.
Image
good news is that all the major load bearing areas are solid.
had time to change long over due oil and filter
Image
fill it back up with some quality 20/50 oil and some wynns additive. is 20/50 correct grade for a v4?
Image
also found this when looking for photos on mobile, a radio station i picked up somewhere near peterbough i think.

just typed up a update then lost it all somewhere. where the hell does it go ?

had chance to go and do a few things to camper but im limited to what i can do coz shed has no power or heat brrr.

things done.
stopped drivers side manifold blowing.
re-bushed clutch pedal. i think brake pedal has been done because pivot pipe will come out without taking clip off.
got hazards working. a loose wire in plug and a blown fuse.
got screen washers working. blown fuse and wire shorting out on bulk head.
fitted a ipod/cd radio.
pushed wiring grommets back into place.

made a start on rotten head light bowl.

new pedal bushes.
Image

think this was supposed to go in focus but its been hanging round since we sold fiesta 2 years ago.
Image
Image
i've left standard radio in place and run ipod lead out of ashtray to keep the original look im wanting. new radio works off key on I but thinking about it i should have put a switch on to run off engine battery or leasure battery.
Image
had some old surround sound speakers left so used two for time being untill i can think how to hide em.
Image
while glove box and heater panel was out to run wires about i connected middle screen vent pipes back on to heater box and emptied side window vent pipe of leaves and crap. found washer pump fuse next to wiper motor.
Image

Image
drivers side headlight bowl is rotten but i thought passenger was good but after poking a screw driver about its as bad.
i think it was filler, seem sealer, tin foil ! and mud.
at some time its been waxoiled but never kept up to so most of it is good but tin worm has set in other places.

Image
Image
Image

its off for welding work next week end, got some ramp time sorted at local mechnics.

we had a break in at weekend. builder opposite to ours had his van parked in shed broken into. he rang me to say ours had been broke into. locks cut off sheds worst thoughts of camper gone or vandalism got there and its not been touched big relief. they had dragged out a fireball heater, strimmer and boxed up some tools( spanners, molegrips, socket set etc.) but left em outside must have been disturb. on a lighter note getting some welding done on Saturday hopefully learn to do abit. :)
